Christy has been a hairstylist at Spa Bleu West Dundee since opening day in 2004 and in the industry since 2000. At an early age she enrolled in Cosmetology school and discovered she could use her artistic talent and creativity in a career full of opportunities. Christy has always had a passion for the arts, fashion, architecture, graffiti and the atmosphere. Her passion has brought her to not only work two seasons of New York Fashion Week but was invited by Aveda to perform a high profiled textured haircut on stage. Not only is Christy’s passion for her art contagious within her industry, but she has been recognized many times beyond the salon’s four walls. Christy was featured in the Daily Herald newspaper as someone you should know, her work has been featured on sites harmonious to the beauty industry such as Modern Salon and Behind the Chair. Her work has been featured on the Youtube channel Makeover News and that of her own channel. She has entered NAHA, one of the most prestigious hair contests for North America, twice, in two categories. Christy’s work has been published in international Hair Magazine, Hair-N-Motion. She continually styles for local fashion shows, benefits and photoshoots. Christy specializes in advanced cutting on men and women and custom color. She is very well known for her skills in corrective color and each quality step she takes from the start to the astonishing final results. Christy’s highly recognized for her fine tuned consultation and attention to every detail. She is a certified Great Lengths, So-Cap and hairtalk single strand and tape-in extension specialist. To top off her career, Christy decided to take measures into her own hands after many months of research in finding that “perfect” straightening iron after her’s shorted out on her. All of those sleepless nights turned into the start of her own company. The Royce Brand and each individual tool was personally customized with you in mind- the consumer and the professional.
